WHAT ABOUT LUNCH?

NUT POLICY: Due to severe nut allergies among our campers, peanut and tree nut products are NOT allowed at Country Day Summer Camp. Please do not send lunches and snacks that contain peanut butter, tree nuts or other nut products. This includes foods that are processed in a facility that may contain nuts. This is for the safety of our campers with allergies. Please assure your child that they can still enjoy their favorite foods at home (make it a positive learning experience on being considerate to those with allergies!)

  • Use of a microwave/refrigerator is NOT available.
  • Please send cold/hot packs with a child’s lunch.

 LOST & FOUND & ELECTRONICS

Please mark all items brought from home, including towels, goggles, lunchboxes, and sunscreen. Lost and Found is located in the Rec Room. Do NOT send toys or electronics to camp. Country Day is not responsible for personal items. Unclaimed items are donated to charity after 2 weeks.

Many parents feel more secure if a camper has a cell phone. Cell phones may be brought to camp. They must remain in the camper's bag during camp hours. Cell phones that are used during camp hours will be confiscated by camp counselors. Country Day is not responsible for a cell phone that is lost or damaged. Send one with your child at your own risk.

 WHAT SHOULD MY CAMPER WEAR?

Campers are required to wear CLOSED-TOE SHOES. Clothing should be appropriate for indoor/outdoor summer activities.

Camp isn't a fashion show...wear comfortable clothing!  Again, athletic shoes are the best choice.

No sandals/flip-flops or crocs, please.

Should your camper come without appropriate clothing or footwear, we will make every effort to contact you so that you may bring the required items. Students without athletic shoes will not be able to participate in many outdoor activities, including playground time.

CONDUCT

Country Day reserves the right to dismiss any participant whose conduct or influence is not in the best interests of the camp.  In such event, no refund will be given. Conduct Expectations

ILLNESS & MEDICATIONS

If your camper becomes ill while at camp, we will utilize the contact list you provided upon registration. It is important that you keep your child home if he or she exhibits symptoms of an illness, including a fever of 100 degrees or above. This policy is in the best interest of your child, as well as all of our campers.  Any camper exhibiting these symptoms will be sent home. Our policy is to send home any camper who has a fever or vomits.

Any medications which need to be administered at camp will require a signed permission slip with specific directions. Pinellas County Licensing requires that all medication MUST be handled through the School Office. Do not hand medication to Camp Counselors. A parent or guardian MUST bring in the medication to the office.  Do not leave medication in your child’s lunchbox.

For the safety of the campers and our staff, we reserve the right to cancel camp in the event of severe weather.

Camp closing information will be broadcast on the following:
